Global Warming and its Effect in the Himalayas (CLIMATE CHANGE HANDBOOK) 2023-2024

The Partners Nepal, with support from Peak Aid Japan, published 1,000 copies of Global Warming and Its Effects in the Himalayas: Climate Change Handbook to raise awareness among secondary and higher secondary students about climate change, with a focus on its impact on Solukhumbu and Indigenous communities. Distributed in districts such as Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha, and Langtang, the handbook educates both children and parents on these crucial environmental issues.

Additionally, with funding from Nepal Hilfe-Tirol, The Partners Nepal (TPN) published 500 copies of the second edition of Melting Heights: Climate Change and Global Warming’s Impact on Nepal’s Himalayas – A Case Study from Langtang National Park and Buffer Zone. Aimed at high school students, this edition explores the effects of climate change on Rasuwa’s mountain ecosystems and communities and is dedicated to the resilient people of Langtang, who suffered significant losses during the 2015 earthquake. TPN expresses deep gratitude to Peak Aid Japan and Nepal Hilfe-Tirol for making these publications possible.
