The Partners Nepal with initial funding support come from Sir Edmund Hillary Stiftung Deutschland Germany and NepalHilfe-Tirol (Austria) was able to establish the Sir Edmund Hillary Memorial Museum and Elderly Care Home in Bung village. The purpose of this project was to restore the clinic built in 1989 by Sir Edmund Hillary with view to provide health service to the people of Bung, Gudel, Cheskam, Pawai and Sotang village. Later this building was collapsed due to 2015 earthquake that destroyed the original building built by Sir Edmund Hillary. In order to manage and sustain this project, Sir Edmund Hillary Memorial Museum and Elderly Care Center Management Committee was established in 2017. The Partners Nepal with funding support comes from our donors provide support to this project since the inception period in 2016.
The Sir Edmund Hillary Memorial Museum and Elderly Care Center was jointly inaugurated by the Chairman of NepalHilfe-Tirol (Prof.Wolfgang Nairz) and Sagar Kirant the mayor of Mahakulung Rural Municipality-1, Bung of Solukhumbu on 16th October 2017.
