Khunde Beyul Garden (Proposed Plan 2025-2026)

Serve The Mountain Communities

Following the successful conservation and restoration of Khunde Chorten, the Khunde community has envisioned the creation of Khunde Beyul Garden—a cultural and spiritual landscape designed to enhance the village’s heritage and provide a welcoming space for locals and visitors alike.

To realize this vision, several key improvements are needed:

  1. Accessible walkways around the Chorten, ensuring elderly visitors can comfortably participate in Kora during auspicious days.
  2. Widened trails to reduce congestion, prevent erosion, and minimize landslide risks.
  3. Restoration of the main mani walls, carefully cleaned and re-laid in consultation with senior monks to preserve traditional sequences.
  4. Repair of fallen mani stones, protecting them from further damage.
  5. A dedicated park for elders to enjoy the serene cultural setting.
  6. A welcoming platform at the entrance of the Kani.

The total project cost is approximately USD 50,000. The Partners Nepal had anticipated securing USD 10,000 as of November 2019, but the donor had to postpone support due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your support can help fulfill the Khunde community’s dream—preserving cultural heritage, improving accessibility, and creating a space where tradition, nature, and community thrive together.
