Khunde Beyul Garden (Proposed Plan 2020-2021)

Starting 15 Dec 2024 - Closing 28 May 2021

After completing the conservation and restoration of Khunde Chorten, now the Khunde Community had requested The Partners Nepal to help raise funds to establish Khunde Beyul Garden in Khunde village to strengthen and improve for better settings in-terms of the landscape. The following task remained incomplete due to a shortfall of budget:

1) Improve the walkways surrounding the Chorten to make easy access to the elderly people during their Kora visits especially those auspicious days; 2)Widening the existing trails to make easy walkways otherwise the trail is leading to frequent landslide and erosion and become congested; 3)The main mani walls surrounding the Chorten needs to clean properly and lay down with sequence by consultation of senior monks of the region; 4) The mani walls have been fallen on the ground as a result many mani end up breaking or damaged due to lack of proper care; 5) Create park for the elderly people to enjoy the beauty of the cultural experience, and 6) Construct a platform at the entrance of the Kani.

The Partners Nepal and the Khunde Community seek financial support to fulfill the dream of local people to establish this Khunde Beyul Garden. The overall expense for this project is approximately 50,000 USD, and among them, TPN had anticipated receiving 10,000 USD for this project as of November 2019, but due to this COVID-19, the donor had postponed their commitment until the situations get improved.
