Community Pond in Nechasalayn

Serve The Mountain Communities

At the request of the local community, Nechasalyan Rural Municipality, and the Jhahare Setidevi Community Forest Users Committee, The Partners Nepal—supported by Nepal Hilfe-Tirol, Engage Nepal, and matching funds from Nechasalyan Rural Municipality—has successfully restored the Chisapani Community Pond. For generations, this pond has been the lifeline of Chisapani, providing water for irrigation, drinking, livestock, and local wildlife. Its restoration now enhances biodiversity, strengthens climate resilience, and opens new possibilities for domestic tourism. TPN extends heartfelt gratitude to all partners whose collaboration made this achievement possible. The revived pond stands as both an environmental milestone and a symbol of community renewal in the face of climate change.
