The Partners Nepal and Chamlang Creative Youth Society Plants Trees in Cheskam
The Partners Nepal acknowledges Chamlang Creative Youth Society for planting native trees in a deforested area caused by overgrazing and fuel wood use for cooking and heating. The Partners Nepal has supported Cheskam’s ONE DAY ONE TREE since 2018. We greatly appreciate the support from Hauser Exkursionen, Nepal Hilfe-Tirol, and other outstanding donors who helped us reforest Solukhumbu. Rhododendron, Alnus Nepalensis (utis), Douglas Fir, and Bamboo were planted.
The global “One Day One Tree” program encourages daily tree planting to combat deforestation, promote reforestation, and mitigate climate change. The notion is that little, persistent efforts can dramatically affect the environment. As others have noted, the “One Day One Tree” effort may encourage tree planting for carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, soil protection, and more. A personal environmental promise may be “One Day One Tree” participation. Daily tree planting helps families, communities, and organizations battle climate change and enhance the planet for future generations. This program might help people, communities, and businesses plant trees frequently, sequestering carbon, supporting biodiversity, protecting soil, and more.
Trees benefit biodiversity, climate change mitigation, ecological balance, and humans directly and indirectly. Tree planting is a simple and efficient strategy to address environmental issues and build a sustainable future. Reforestation at Cheskam village of Mahakulung Rural Municipality-1, Solukhumbu, District, Nepal, would not have been achieved without the initial funding support from Hauser Exkursionen, Nepal Hilfe-Tirol, and many others.
