COVID supports to the people of Rasuwa and Solukhumbu
The Partners Nepal supplies COVID support to the people of the Rasuwa and Solukhumbu districts.
In recognizing the second wave of COVID-19, known as the COVID variant situation globally and in Nepal, particularly in the mountainous region, The Partners Nepal has taken the initiative to distribute the necessary COVID supplies to the people of Langtang and Bung, Cheskam, and Gudel of Solukhumbu through our partners, i.e., Tenjin Eco-Treks in Langtang and Hill Development Conservation Group in Bung.
The Partners Nepal (TPN) had decided to distribute those supplies at the earliest to avoid further spreading the COVID variant in the region. Based on the present situation and consultations with the local community in Langtang and Solukhumbu, the following lists were prepared.
- Surgical Mask
- Surgical Gloves
- Hand washes Dettol Soap
- Face shields
- PPE dress
- Vitamin C and D etc.
With these covid supports, TPN hopes to supply the local clinics, lodges, monasteries, schools, and the local community. The government supplies are very limited due to high demand nationwide. The local people from the remote regions like Langtang and Solukhumbu were very concerned about the second wave of COVID-19. They were ambitious to protect those older people from spreading the diseases.
The Partners Nepal is very grateful to Professor Wolfgang Nairz of NepalHilfe- Tirol and Frances Klatzel and CORE International for considering this support to provide these covid supports to avoid further spreading this second wave of COVID in the region.
