Former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt. Hon Helen Clark visits TPN’s ONE DAY ONE TREE project site
Rt. Hon. former Prime Minister Helen Clark visited The Partners Nepal launched “ONE DAY ONE TREE project for conservation and restoration of alpine ecosystems of Sagarmatha National Park and Buffer Zone. This project was launched in March 2016 with spiritual endorsement by late Lama Geshe of Pangboche and Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation. Since the establishment of this projects, many institutions and individuals friends and interest in conservation work had supported this project. Since then, this successful conservation and restoration project has been replicated in Phortse and Khunde village of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-4 and Cheskam village in Mahakulung Rural Municipality-1 of Solukhumbu District.
Rt. Hon. Helen Clark had visited this ONE DAY ONE TREE project in Pangboche in May 2019 during the Sir Edmund Hillary’s Centenary in July 2019.
